Metlha Ishmael Mokwena
The Chairman's Profile in Brief Metlha is a young and assertive motswana, a natural leader of note, born in 1984. He is a qualified Accountant and a member of the BOTSWANA INSTITUTE OF ACCOUNTANTS (BIA). He is currently working as a full time accountant at FIRST CLASS ACCOUNTANTS a local accounting firm offering Accounting, Company Secretaries, and Business Consultancy services. Metlha played a critical role in setting up the business, inducting staff and setting up systems needful for the successful running and operation of the business. He oversaw all the accounting and finance functions of the business and managing relations between the business and their clients. As a senior staff member, It was his duty to strategise ways to market the business to the local community and find clients. Metlha's other professional experiences are working as an accountant at H & A Cutting A subsidiary of Grant and Thornton and as an assistant accountant at Clover Chemicals. Deputy Chairperson
Tim Mosinyi, is a young man from Bokaa village in Kgatleng. He acquirea BSc degree in Animal Science (Non-Ruminant Stream) and a Higher Diploma in Agricultural Engineering, both from the Botswana College of Agriculture. Tim oozes of confidence that his educational and professional backgrounds will contribute to the new team's vision of taking the BNYC to even greater heights. He believes that team work and unity of purpose will deliver the organization's mandate of empowering the Youth of Botswana, thereby enabling them to better lead, serve and contribute to their country's development. |
Thabiso Shane Kebadile
Shane Kebakile has served the youth in various structures in Ghanzi before becoming a Board member in 2011. He is currently Board Member of the Ghanzi Land Board (2011-2014). Prior to that, Kebakile has worked for the Department of Civil & National Registration and Charleshill Sub District Council. He has worked for youth organisations such Youth Health Organization (YOHO): Employed as a Field Coordinator from 2007-2009, Young Women Christian Association (YWCA) under Anti-AIDS Parent Education project, served in the first ever Youth Parliament of Botswana in 2004 as Ghanzi South Constituency Member of Parliament. |
Tshegofatso Masendu
Tshegofatso Masendu is currently a University of Botswana student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science. A former Chairperson for the District Youth Committee Chairperson for Gaborone West, has also passion for acting, having acted for the Reetsanang Drama Association. Masendu has completed various leadership courses such as Governance and Leadership offered by Capitec, Training for Trainers for Botswana Leaders toolkit. The 21 year old, is has also represented Botswana at the 7th UNESCO youth forum in Paris, France and attended the United Nations education, scientific and cultural forum in New York. |
Executive Director
Benjamin is a well achieved young man, with enviable leadership skills and strong change acumen, which have been augmented by a strong educational background. His academic conquests include a BA in Social Work, a Public Private Partnerships-Skills and Competency Development certificate, Evidence Based Social Marketing and Management Development. Benjamin's areas of competence range from public relations, good leadership and motivational skills, Marketing & Communication skills to excellent relationship building skills in both the public and the private sector. He brings to the BNYC wealth of experience from numerous leadership and managerial roles that he held prior to joining the council. As Director of FHI - Botswana his managerial and change management prowess resulted in him transforming the NGO into one of the largest in the country by securing by securing 120million Pula grants. He has also worked as Corporate Affairs Manager PSI Botswana, Business and Relationships / Partnerships Manager. With his impressive track record both academically and professionally, Benjamin's appointment is in line with the ongoing transformation and re-branding exercise that is geared towards positioning the BNYC better for youth empowerment and development. We welcome him on board, and look forward to his valuable contribution to a vibrant, focused and progressive council. |
